Gilakan VSCO Cam

I am not an avid Instragramer. But I do love the art of photography. 

Ako bukan lah seorang yang selalu with the camera. In fact, I don't own DSLR or camera pun. Just a simple Galaxy Note 8.0 yang bermegapixel 5 and that's that. Also, the front camera only have like 1.3mp. So, I am like having less chance untuk capture gambar yang terbaik secara frequent. Tak mengapa. Kerana ada cara lain but tak mudah lah. 

What had captured my attention about photography ialah the existence of VSCO Cam. VSCO adalah stands for Visual Supply Company. 

Thanks to these awesome company, now it has been app paling ngetop dalam kategori Photography. Untung sangat untuk iPhone user. Kepada Android user macam ako nih, kena tunggu sikit masa lagi kerana dengar berita VSCO sedang dalam peringkat beta. Tunggu ajo lah sikit masa lagi.

So, apa yang bestnya pasal app ni?

Apa yang ako suka about VSCO cam nih dia produces gambar macam filem. Filem ala-ala Yasmin Ahmad, or filem KIL or like indie2 film tuh. 

As you can see, there are some form of grey-ish fading, blur, mix of mild saturation and little bit of cross-process produced..ala-ala lomograpghy filtered by prestalgia moments. Strange but beautiful. Gambar yang biasa-biasa menjadi tampak 'mahal'.

The Verge claimed yang VSCO akan menjadi the next Instagram. Better version punya. But VSCO founder Joel Flory said,

"We’re not interested in creating another social network. We wanted to create a platform that honored the art [our users] created without likes and comments. They are utilizing Instagram for what it’s great at: connecting. It’s a great communication tool, and VSCO is focused on photography tools."

For your information, Instagram dahulu, IPOnya dibeli oleh Mark Zuckerberg (Facebook) sebanyak $1 Billion! You see, a photo worth 1000 words and in social media term, beautiful photos do create digital world more interesting and engaging. People will start to liking and commenting more. Itu antara instinct sendiri kenapa Mark nak beli Instagram. Toward his vision to take his Facebook to the next level. 

So, lantak engko lah kan (nak create another social network or not). FYI sekali lagi, Seene, antara iPhonography app yang already made its platform. Tapi ni dah keluar tajuk. Seene adalah apps yang menghasil gambar 3D. Tengoklah.

Macam-macam invention kan. Meriah! But sir (VSCO), your invention sangat beautiful. Truly appreciate it.

Ako rasa kalau version Android lambat sangat tubik nih, ako beli iPhone dulu lah asenya. Envy sangat kat foto kawan-kawan ada yang certain suka sangat guna vsco cam (gambar akan automatically hashtagged for example: #vscocam. Antara trending hashtag sekarang di instagram selain #selfie.

Akaun gambar korang will be created into grid of photos di VSCO.co. Sila login. Sekiranya korang nak kasi photos lagi mantop, get awesome filters kat sini http://vsco.co/store. But mahal sangat. Takat basic (free to download) filter tu pun sudah cukup membuatkan foto jadi cantik.  

Problem bagi Android user macam ako, ako terpaksa mencari solution lain untuk menghasilkan VSCO effect. Iaitu menggunakan Photoshop. Thanks to beorange from deviantart kerana menghasilkan VSCO actions untuk digunapakai dalam photoshop. Download jer. Download more to create prestalgia effect.

So, iPhone user, manfaatkan lah app ini to capture memorable photos yang awesome besides taking your photography skill to the next level.
